Inspired by the sand on a beach, here is a natural version of Gretha Mensen’s gorgeous “Beach Talk” shawl.
The textured pattern combined with a large cable border give this shawl fullness and a superb drape.
The shawl shown here was made during testknit. I used two yarns knitted together. A 100% non-superwash sport yarn from Peruvian Highland sheeps and a Donegal fingering yarn from Ireland that when knitted, provide a tweed effect to the project.
Content of the set:
- 100% Peruvian Highland Wool yarn non sw (Sport: 300m / 100 grs): 2,5 skeins (2x 100 grs = 1 x 50 grs)
- 85% sw Merino Wool-15% Donegal Nep (fingering: (400m / 100g): 2 skeins (2 x 100 grs)
- In total : 1550 (1641 yds)
