PATTERN “CÈDRE BLEU SHAWL” BY WOOLISSIME DESIGNS

6,80

First knitting pattern created by Woolissime Designs!

Inspiration
This shawl’s design inspiration was twofold. First came the idea of dyeing a blue-green half-tone shade on my skeins inspired by the subtle color of the cedars in the garden. Then to create a shawl that mirrored this sumptuous tree and its perfectly aligned rows of fine needles. Therefore, working the spine stitch with originality and modernity became the obvious choice.

Details
Cèdre Bleu – blue cedar in French – is a timeless shawl that will harmoniously complement all your outfits no matter the season.
Starting from the tip, unilateral increases gradually create a triangular shape anchored by a wide band of staggered cables which will elegantly wrap your shoulders. The borders of the shawl are worked symmetrically; two small spine stitch cables delimit the central motif.

Final dimensions
Wingspan: 190 cm (from one tip to the opposite one)
Depth: 82cm

  • Woolissime Yarns Olympe – 230 m / 115 g skein
  • 70% Superwash Bluefaced Leicester Wool / 20% silk / 10% cashmere
  • 4 skeins in color Cèdre Bleu (842 m – 421 g)
  • Or any other DK/Worsted yarn.
